Sailor's Hitch is a platform that connects boat captains with potential crew members for sailing voyages. We facilitate introductions and communication between users but do not operate, manage, or supervise any voyages.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and truthful information in your profile.
• You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate others.

4. Captain Responsibilities

• Captains must hold valid certifications and licenses required by the jurisdiction in which they operate.
• Captains are solely responsible for the seaworthiness of their vessel, safety equipment, insurance, and compliance with maritime law.
• Captains must accurately represent their vessel, voyage details, and experience level.
• Captains are responsible for the safety of all crew on board.

5. Crew Responsibilities

• Crew members participate at their own risk and must honestly represent their experience level.
• Crew members should obtain appropriate travel and health insurance for their voyage.
• Crew members must follow the captain's instructions regarding safety and vessel operations.

6. Disclaimer of Liability

Sailor's Hitch is a platform for connecting users only. We are not a party to any agreement between captains and crew. We do not verify certifications, inspect vessels, or supervise voyages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sailor's Hitch shall not be liable for any injury, death, property damage, or loss arising from any voyage arranged through the Platform. Users participate entirely at their own risk.

7. Content & Conduct

• You retain ownership of content you post but grant Sailor's Hitch a license to display it on the Platform.
• You may not post illegal, abusive, discriminatory, or misleading content.
• We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Financial Arrangements

Any financial arrangements between captains and crew (contributions, payments, shared costs) are made directly between the parties. Sailor's Hitch does not process payments, hold funds, or take commissions at this time.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@sailors-hitch.com.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
